Eyes

A quick update:  I had cataract surgery on November 6th and now I can see again, yippeeeeeee!!!!  Yesterday I had my other eye done.  My vision is outstanding now.  The only drawback is that I now need reading glasses.  I'm having a hard time remembering that.  I do have one pair  but I think that I will buy a few more for the sewing machine, computer, and bedroom.  I can't forget to put a pair in my purse just in case I need to read something.
Tomorrow I go see my oncologist for a check up.  I don't expect any problems there.  I have all my Christmas shopping done.  I just need to do my one granddaughter and she is easy to do.....  $$$$$.

Pretzels

Now that's a funny title for a post.  Actually, I can take 'em or leave 'em, but not the hot pretzels at the mall.  I love them.  The other day I was in CVS pharmacy and noticed that they had a little machine that will make those delicious pretzels.  I talked Bill into buying it for me.  Today I had a chance to make some of these pretzel.  But first I must tell you that the directions for making them wasn't the greatest.  In fact, they had left out some steps on making them.  Thank goodness for the internet!  I mixed up the dough and it stated that I was to divide the dough in eight parts.  Okay.  Then I'm suppose to take one of them and roll it to make it a long thin rope.  So I roll it around and get it to what I thought it should be.  NOT!  To fat.  After a few more attempts I got it right.  Make it pencil size (around).  I brushed butter on them after I took them out of the machine.  Here are a couple of pictures.

My sister and brother-in-law came for a visit last weekend.  Her cancer has flared up again and she is back in chemo.  That means that her hair is not going to be there much longer.  We looked around my area for a new wig but I couldn't find a place that was opened.   It was decided that she would look in the Phoenix area when she left here to visit with her son.  She found one.  Doesn't she looks beautiful! 

We did have a good time but as usual, it was way to short and then it was time to head back to the airport.

Would you believe that it's only 30 days to Christmas Day?

I think winter is almost here

We had a light frost this morning.  Brrrrrrrrrrr.......    Sure was cold earlier but then when I got out of the doctors around noon it was a lot warmer out there.  I had a 3 month follow-up at the surgeon's office.  Everything is going just fine. Then on Thursday, I need to get an ultra sound done.  My oncologist wasn't positive about a lump by the surgical scar, so she suggested that I get the ultrasound.  My surgeon said it's just from the surgery.  I also have to be at the eye doctor's at 8:30 am tomorrow.  It's for pre-op.  I'm going to get my cataract removed from my left eye next week then at the end of the month they will do the right eye.  Maybe I'll be able to see again.  Bill tells me that I can't see to drive but he is wrong, wrong, wrong!  Well, enough about my doctors, on the something more fun.
I made a couple of pair of booties for the new baby.  They are suppose to be size 0-3mos but look a little big to me.  I made them out of flannel so they may shrink a little.

The other day my lawn/landscape guy gave me this pot of flowers, so pretty.  I'm sure that they will last for awhile.  If it gets to cold, I'll just take them into the house for the winter.

My dryer is buzzing me to get the clothes out.
I hope all my family in New Jersey stay safe from the storms.
