I finally got to meet the radiation oncologist yesterday. Super nice guy. I got to hear about my choice of treatment. I could do 33 radiation treatments over a period of 6-7 weeks OR I could do a procedure involving Mammo Site for twice a day for 5 days. I have opted to do the Mammo Site. It involves putting a catheter (with a balloon attached) into the cavity that the removal of the tumor cause. Then a 'seed' of radiation is inserted twice a day for 5 days. Treatment is over! Catheter is removed! The side effects are very minimal.
I have to wait for the oncologist to talk with the surgeon to find out when this will all take place. Hopefully I won't have to wait for weeks on end.
That's it from my little corner of the world.

Sounds like a plan. One nasty week vs 6+ of burns etc sound so much better! Can't wait to give you a ( very tender one sided hug!)
